Solutions · Three Engagement Types
Defined Services With Clear Deliverables
Each Quantellis engagement begins with a defined scope, follows a documented methodology, and ends with a tangible output. No ambiguity about what you are getting.
← Return to Homepage§ 1 — Our Methodology
How We Approach Every Engagement
Regardless of which service type an engagement falls under, the underlying approach is consistent: understand the problem before recommending a solution, document the reasoning throughout, and hand over work products that your team can continue to build on.
We follow a structured intake process at the start of every engagement — covering the business problem, available data, organisational context, and any constraints on timeline or approach. This shapes the scope document that governs the rest of the work.
Where feasibility studies identify that a prototype would be valuable, we are well-placed to continue. Where prototypes reveal that further work should be done in-house, we offer the knowledge transfer programme to support that transition. The three services are designed to connect in sequence if the situation calls for it.
Intake & Scoping
Define the question, document the context, agree on the deliverable and timeline.
Research & Analysis
Systematic investigation using appropriate methodology — literature review, data analysis, or model development.
Documentation & Review
Findings documented, reviewed internally, and shared with the client for feedback before finalisation.
Handover & Next Steps
Deliverables transferred, questions addressed, and a clear picture of what comes next — with or without further engagement.
01 — Research
AI Research & Feasibility Studies
A rigorous assessment of whether and how AI applies to a specific business challenge. This service is appropriate when your organisation has identified a potential AI use case and wants a structured, evidence-based evaluation before committing development resources.
The study includes a review of relevant AI approaches in the literature, an assessment of your data's readiness and suitability, modelling of expected outcomes given realistic assumptions, and a formal report with clear recommendations — including, where appropriate, a recommendation not to proceed.
What the Study Covers
- Literature review of AI approaches relevant to your problem type
- Data requirements analysis and readiness assessment
- Expected outcome modelling with documented assumptions
- Risk and limitation identification
- Formal report with go/no-go recommendation and rationale
Typical Timeline
3–4 weeks from scoping sign-off to report delivery
Typical Timeline
4–8 weeks depending on data availability and problem complexity
02 — Prototype
Applied AI Prototyping
Development of a working proof-of-concept AI system — demonstrating what is feasible with your data and problem before any full-scale development is committed to. This service is appropriate when a feasibility study (or equivalent internal work) has already established that AI is worth exploring in practice.
The prototype is not a production system. It is a functional, documented demonstration — built to answer specific questions about performance, data requirements, and implementation realities. Everything is documented and handed over.
What the Prototype Includes
- Problem scoping and data preparation documentation
- Working model or AI pipeline with version-controlled code
- Performance benchmark report with honest assessment
- Full documentation of assumptions and known limitations
- Presentation and walkthrough of results with your team
03 — Enablement
AI Knowledge Transfer & Team Enablement
A structured programme designed to build genuine AI understanding and practical capability within your team. This service is appropriate when your organisation wants to move from dependence on external consultants toward internal ownership of AI projects.
Programmes are customised based on your team's existing knowledge and the specific AI techniques relevant to your work. Training uses your organisation's own data and context — not generic examples — and includes mentoring support to accompany the team through early project work.
What the Programme Delivers
- Customised curriculum based on team starting point and target skills
- Hands-on workshops using real organisational data
- Reference materials and documented learning resources
- Mentoring support for team's first independent AI project
- Knowledge assessment to confirm learning outcomes
Typical Timeline
Modular — scheduled to fit your team's availability
§ 2 — Comparison
Choosing the Right Engagement
The three services address different stages of an AI journey. Here is a quick comparison to help with the decision.
| Feasibility Study | Prototyping | Knowledge Transfer | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starting Price | RM 4,500 | RM 7,800 | RM 3,200 |
| Best for | Evaluating an idea before committing | Proving feasibility with working code | Building internal team capability |
| Primary output | Formal report | Working prototype + docs | Trained team + resources |
| AI investment required? | No — helps you decide | Modest — scoped project | Internal team time |
| Typical timeline | 3–4 weeks | 4–8 weeks | Flexible / modular |
Not sure which to start with?
If you are early in your AI thinking, the feasibility study is usually the appropriate starting point. It is also the most common entry point for new clients. Get in touch and we can discuss your situation before you commit to anything.
§ 3 — Standards
Technical & Professional Standards Across All Work
Data Security & Confidentiality
All client data is handled under NDA and processed in accordance with Malaysia's PDPA 2010.
Version-Controlled Deliverables
Code and documentation are version-controlled and handed over in a format your team can continue to work with.
Responsible AI Principles
Fairness, interpretability, and downstream risk are considered in every AI design decision as a matter of standard practice.
Scope Documentation
Every engagement is governed by a written scope document agreed before work begins — no scope creep, no hidden assumptions.
Performance Benchmarking
Prototype work includes explicit performance measurement against defined baselines — so results are interpretable in context.
Results Presentation
Every engagement concludes with a structured presentation of findings to relevant stakeholders — not just a document handover.
§ 4 — Pricing
